Same-Day Crowns
Restoring Your Smile In A Single Visit
Quality Care That Fits Your Schedule
At Holliday Dental, restorative care is built around precision and efficiency. Using CEREC technology, our doctors design and mill high-quality ceramic crowns right here in the office. That means your crown is planned, created, and placed in one appointment, without compromising fit, function, or aesthetics.
Advanced technology paired with experienced hands allows us to deliver durable, natural-looking results, all in a single visit. This streamlined approach ensures that restoring your smile no longer requires disrupting your entire week.

How We Make Crowns in One Day
A crown works like a protective cover for a tooth that is cracked, decayed, or weakened. Traditional methods require sending a mold of the tooth to an off-site lab, which creates a delay. That capability now exists directly inside our office.
The CEREC system (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) allows the team to take a digital picture of your tooth and use that data to mill a precise restoration from a block of high-strength ceramic immediately. This eliminates the gap between preparation and final placement, meaning the tooth is fully restored by the time you walk out the door.
What Your Visit Looks Like
The restorative process is streamlined to get you out of the chair faster. Here is specifically what happens during a same-day crown appointment:
- Digital Imaging: A specialized camera takes a 3D digital scan of your tooth. This replaces the tray of impression paste that often triggers a gag reflex in many patients.
- Custom Design: Our doctors use sophisticated software to design your crown on a screen right in front of you, ensuring the contact points with your surrounding teeth are mathematically correct.
- On-Site Creation: The in-house milling unit precision-cuts your new crown from a solid block of durable ceramic in about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Sintering & Hardening: Once milled, the crown is placed in a specialized furnace. This high-temperature process ensures the material reaches its maximum structural strength and mimics the natural translucency of tooth enamel.
- Placement: The new crown is bonded to your tooth, polished, and checked for bite accuracy. You are done in a single trip.
Why We Use This Technology
We invest in tools that make the experience better for the patient. Choosing CEREC restorations at Holliday Dental offers specific practical advantages:
- One Trip: You save the time and gas money involved in driving back and forth for a second appointment.
- No Temporaries: You avoid the specific annoyance of nursing a temporary crown for two weeks, wondering if it will fall out while you eat dinner.
- Better Comfort: The digital scanner is small and quick, removing the discomfort of holding a tray in your mouth for several minutes.
- Strong Materials: We use ceramic that matches the color of your natural enamel. It eliminates the dark metal line that often appears near the gumline with older metal-based crowns.
A Tradition of Trust in Greenville
For more than four decades, Holliday Dental has been built on long-term relationships and consistent care. As a family-led practice, we believe technology should enhance the patient experience, not complicate it.
Same-day CEREC crowns allow us to restore teeth efficiently and precisely, all under the care of a team that knows you and treats you like more than a name on the schedule.
One Appointment, One Permanent Solution
Walking around with a damaged tooth creates constant worry about what you can eat or if it will break further. Fixing it shouldn’t add to that stress. Our goal is to get your smile back to full strength today so you can get on with your life.
